1My story
From Louisville to Sylvan Park
Born in Kentucky, raised on the west side of Nashville. Here’s where I come from, and the family I have now.
Louisville, December 1977
I was born on December 2, 1977, in Louisville, Kentucky. My parents are Sadie and Doug Blair.
When I was around five, we moved to Nashville and settled in Sylvan Park, in West Nashville. Sylvan Park is the neighborhood I grew up in.
Five Nashville schools
I went all the way through Nashville public schools, starting at Sylvan Park Elementary and finishing at Hillwood.

- 3W.A. Bass Junior High
- 4Pearl-Cohn
- 5Hillwood High School

Under the hood first
Before computers, it was cars. I worked as an auto mechanic in high school, and my senior year I was in a school-to-work program. Copiers, fax machines and networks came next, in 1997 — the record picks it up from there.
Off the clock
Michelle, Christian and Arabella
Michelle and I have been married since December 2009. Our son Christian is in two of these pictures, and his sister Arabella is due February 11, 2027.
Everything else on this site is about work. As for the rest of it: life is grand.
